DIMAPUR — The monthly meeting of the Peren District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) was held on Friday at the DC’s conference hall, under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Peren, D Robin.
The meeting commenced with a welcome address by the ADC, followed by a review of the previous meeting minutes, a DIPR report stated.
On behalf of the district administration, the ADC expressed appreciation to all the departments for their active participation in the successful celebration of the 77th Republic Day.

In regards to the agenda seeking financial assistance for renovation of the drainage system and construction of a retaining wall at Peren town local ground, Robin informed the board that the proposal had already been approved in the previous DPDB meeting, but yet to be forwarded to the concerned department for implementation.
After deliberation, the board resolved to route the application to the Municipal Affairs Department for necessary action.
While addressing difficulties faced by students in obtaining birth certificates, DESO Peren Vikeyielienuo Chielie clarified the issues. The ADC suggested block-wise workshops across the district to address this.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the chair.
