Peren District Chamber of Commerce and Industry holds general conference and commemorates the 25th anniversary of the Jalukie Town Traders Union.

DIMAPUR — The Peren District Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PDCCI) held its general conference, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Jalukie Town Traders Union, at Jalukie town square on Wednesday.
Dr. Khekugha Muru, chairman of the Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI), attended the event as the special guest, stated an update.
Muru stressed the importance of having a collaborative mindset in promoting business beyond local confines. He stated that the business community must support each other as the district chamber of commerce, CNCCI, and chambers of commerce from other northeastern states.

Recalling the declaration of Peren district as the "rice bowl of Nagaland" by the government, he noted that the district has vast potential in organic vegetables, timber, and bamboo resources. He encouraged entrepreneurs to venture out and take advantage of modern technologies. instead of importing finished products and synthetic goods, he urged locals to take up startups in line with available resources.
He also congratulated the founders of the traders union and encouraged the PDCCI to remain strong.
Short speeches were also delivered by ADC Jalukie, Alber Ezung; JTC Councillor, Namdatbou; DMC Councillor and Vice President of Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), Omega Yepthomi; and Vice President of Chümoukedima Chamber of Commerce and Trade Association (CCCTA), V Bohoto Achumi.
The conference was sponsored and supported by 17 unions affiliated with the PDCCI.
