- DIMAPUR — Deputy
Commissioner of Peren, Hiazu Meru, held a consultative meeting with the
teachers of New Peren Government Primary School, the Village Council, and the
parents of the children on Thursday.
- According to a DIPR report, on the occasion, Meru informed
that the Peren DPDB is adopting New Peren Government Primary School to bring
about positive changes and create future opportunities for the children.
- He encouraged the villagers to put in their collective
efforts and push for further improvements, as well as to actively play their
role and assume the responsibility of the village education board. The DC
warned the teaching community to perform their duties judiciously and to take
necessary action in the event of any failure in the education system.
- Meru also urged the teachers to impart quality education to
the children. He encouraged the villagers to understand their rights and avail
themselves of the opportunities provided by the government in the right context
and to take care of government properties as their own.

- On the adoption of New Peren Government Primary School, Meru
highlighted the functioning of good schools in Kohima and Dimapur, where the
department prioritises well-performing schools in the state. Meru urged the
villagers to enrol their children in their respective government schools and to
make efforts to enrol more children in the near future.
- He also highlighted that the RD department has assured that
it will paint the New Peren Government School, and other departments will work
to improve various areas to provide quality education to the children with
better infrastructure.
