Patkai Christian College, Chümoukedima, celebrates its graduation ceremony, honouring the Class of 2026.

DIMAPUR — Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) celebrated its graduation ceremony for the Class of 2026 at the Bundrock Chapel Auditorium on Tuesday.
Delivering the commencement address, Dr. Kevezai Tureng, Director of the College Development Council, Nagaland University, and an alumnus of Patkai Christian College, highlighted the institution's pioneering contribution to higher education in Nagaland.
According to an update, he noted that Patkai was among the first colleges in the state to attain autonomous status under the University Grants Commission, which is a testament to its commitment to academic excellence.
Addressing the growing influence of artificial intelligence, Dr. Tureng advised graduates to use the technology responsibly as a tool for learning, innovation, and problem-solving without becoming overly dependent on it. He advised them to use artificial intelligence to help them think, but not to allow it to do all their thinking for them.

The ceremony also witnessed the presentation of the Dr. Satuo Sekhose Memorial Academic Excellence Award, which was conferred on Shangyaola Jajo for outstanding academic achievement. Gold medals and degree certificates were subsequently awarded to meritorious graduates.
The gold medallists of the Class of 2026 included Chiten Longkumer in BA Economics (Hons), Songaror Horam in BA English (Hons), Kehinye Seb in BA Philosophy (Hons), Vipito B Chophy in BA Political Science (Hons), Iituna Assumi in BSc Chemistry (Hons), Hinoka Chishi in BSc Geology (Hons), Tutu Ahmed Choudhury in BSc Mathematics (Hons), Ahamad Raja in BSc Physics (Hons), Wonyo Valui in BSc Zoology (Hons), Shangyaola Jajo in BCom (Hons), and Visevoü Üsou in BMus (Hons Piano).
The postgraduate gold medallists were Toshisola in MA English, Tiajungla Pongen in MA Political Science, Widinthui Nring in MSc Botany, Aimong in MSc Geology, Shetü Tetseo in MSc Physics, and Apilo Ngullie in MSc Zoology.
The graduating students later took the Graduates' Pledge and were formally inducted into the Alumni Association of Patkai Christian College.
