DIMAPUR — The freshers' meet for the postgraduate students of Patkai Christian College (Autonomous), Chümoukedima, was held at Bundrock Auditorium on September 7 and was organised by the postgraduate students’ welfare committee.
Aaron Patton, commandant, 1st Nagaland Armed Police Battalion, Chümoukedima, was the special guest for the event, according to a press release issued by the college.
Speaking on the occasion, Patton encouraged everyone to embrace the journey ahead with an open mind and a spirit of curiosity.
Patton mentioned that the education and experiences they would gain at the institution would form the foundation for their future. He noted that as freshers, they were entering an environment rich in opportunities, with access to resources, mentors, and networks.
He encouraged participation in important discussions, conferences, and seminars. He added that as they advanced in their studies, they should consider how they could contribute to society. He highlighted that regardless of their field—whether in Science, Humanities, or Social Sciences—their search and experiences had the potential to make a meaningful impact.
