A mini legal services camp in Niuland town registers over 259 beneficiaries for various government schemes and registrations.

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA), in collaboration with the Dimapur District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and the Niuland district administration, organised a mini legal services camp in Niuland town on June 6.
According to an update, in his keynote address, Neiko Akami, Member Secretary of NSLSA, spoke about the legal services provided under different categories, stressing that the last person should not be left out of legal services. He requested the beneficiaries to avail of the various schemes for which the camp was organised.
Deputy Commissioner of Niuland, TL Kiusumong Tikhir, appreciated the NSLSA for delivering legal services and encouraged the beneficiaries and vulnerable sections of society to access these services. He assured the administrative support of the district for future schemes and awareness programmes.
During the daylong camp, over 259 beneficiaries were registered for various schemes and entitlements. Services were provided by the DC office, Niuland (Aadhaar, Scheduled Tribe, and indigenous inhabitant registration); the Social Welfare department; the Chief Medical Office, Niuland; the Statistical department; the Forest department; the Agriculture department; the Fishery department; the Labour department; the Transport department; the Horticulture department; the State Bank of India; and the DCPU, among others.
