A total of 179 youth from Nagaland have accessed the Prime Minister Internship Scheme through the MY Bharat platform.
DIMAPUR — A total of 179 youth from Nagaland have accessed the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) through the Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) digital platform as of July 16, 2026.
According to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, nearly one lakh youth across the country have been facilitated to access the scheme through the platform and its nationwide volunteer network.
Among the northeastern states, Assam recorded the highest registration with 3,075 youth, followed by Meghalaya with 240, Nagaland with 179, Arunachal Pradesh with 137, Sikkim with 125, Manipur with 113, and Mizoram with 55.
At the national level, Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest number with 10,838 youth, followed by Maharashtra with 10,213, Tamil Nadu with 7,125, West Bengal with 5,093, Madhya Pradesh with 5,034, and Delhi with 4,911.

The initiative is being undertaken by the Department of Youth Affairs through MY Bharat in collaboration with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to enhance youth employability and encourage greater industry participation.
As part of the collaboration, a dedicated Prime Minister Internship Scheme Volunteer Opportunity has been published on the MY Bharat portal, enabling eligible youth to learn about the scheme and access the PMIS portal for registration and application.
According to data released by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, a total of 98,632 youth had been redirected through the PMIS Volunteer Opportunity on the MY Bharat portal to the PMIS portal for registration and application as of July 16, 2026.
