DIMAPUR — An awareness-cum-thanksgiving programme was held on Tuesday at the Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST) Centre, Community Health Centre (CHC) Yachem.
The event was organised and hosted by six villages of the area—Yachem, Noksosang, Yoang, Alayung, Sanglu, and Toiching—in collaboration with the Yingli Mission Society.

Dr. James, medical officer, CHC Yachem, delivered the welcome address, while Dr. Temsusashi, district programme officer and nodal officer for OST, gave the keynote address and extended his gratitude to the village councils of the six villages for initiating such a noble effort.
Village council chairmen from the participating villages exhorted the clients to remain committed to their treatment. They further announced that clients who are able to taper their medicines and successfully quit will be recognised and rewarded for their achievements.
