DIMAPUR — An orientation-cum-get-together programme with the North East Constructors (NEC) road construction team was held at Zinki River Camp, Kiusam, on the theme “One team, one goal”.
Hosted by St. John Catholic Church, Kiusam, the programme brought together NEC managers, supervisors and workers along with church members to extend encouragement and support to the team engaged in road construction in the Tikhir region.
According to an update, Teisovilie Rupreo, in-charge of NEC at the site, delivered the welcome address and thanked the community for the gesture. He said many workers were away from home and working with commitment.
The event also provided an opportunity for interaction between the construction team and local residents. Prayers were offered for the workers’ safety, morale and wellbeing.

Church members expressed support for the NEC leadership and called for cooperation among all ranks.
Addressing the gathering, Rev. Fr. Thomas Toretkiu, Priest in-Charge, appreciated the NEC team’s contribution to the region. “Truly your team is a blessing to our Tikhir area, giving us a road connection which a generation will never forget,” he said.
Referring to the company’s structure, he said, “NEC has a system: a leader who leads, and workers who cooperate. Supervisors and managers translate that direction into plans. And at the foundation, we have workers who execute, who deliver, who cooperate with leaders to get the job done.”
He also spoke on the importance of teamwork, trust, responsibility and rectification.
