Speaking at the event, Lotha Eloe Hoho (LEH) President Thungbeni Ngullie underscored the importance of discipline and self-reflection among youth. She urged the participants to use the platform not only to shine individually but to educate and uplift society. “Only one may win the crown, but each contestant carries the pride of the Lotha community,” she said, adding that the role of a contestant extends beyond the pageant as a representative and role model.
Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) President Lirhonthung E Kithan encouraged the contestants to walk boldly in faith and purpose. “Though this is a district-level event, the world is a global village. Your journey here can be seen and celebrated far beyond Wokha,” he said, assuring support from LSU for both contestants and organisers.
Event Director Thungbeni Kikon expressed appreciation for the quality of this year’s contestants, noting that although more than 20 aspirants auditioned, the selection was narrowed to 12 to uphold the standard of excellence.
“After seven years, Miss Wokha returns with renewed purpose. These young women now carry a responsibility—not just to compete, but to serve, inspire, and grow through prayer and grace,” she said.
She reminded the contestants to embrace their identity, avoid comparisons, and walk with gratitude and positivity. “Women with character, compassion, and beauty through Christ—that is the essence we celebrate,” she added, concluding with a prayer for divine guidance.
The Miss Wokha 2025 pageant continues to serve as a platform for empowerment, cultural pride, and spiritual growth, as the contestants prepare to represent the Lotha community with dignity and grace.
