- TUENSANG — Oriental Theological College (OTC)
held its 25th commencement service on Tuesday at Centre Baptist Church, Yangli.
The event was led by Thangsela, a lecturer at OTC.
- Delivering the welcome address, T Kirithong Sangtam,
chairman of the board of directors (BoD), announced that a digital library for
Master of Divinity students has been launched, making it the first of its kind
in the eastern region.
- He also shared that two new teachers would be appointed by
June and assured that OTC students deserve equal facilities to those in other
colleges. He added that the board is committed to making this happen. He also
thanked all the donors for their generous support towards the growth of the
college.
- The commencement address was delivered by Dr. Alem P
Sangtam, associate pastor of Sangtam Baptist Church, Dimapur. Speaking on
"Higher calling is a holy calling," he congratulated all the
graduates and praised their hard work.
- Dr. Alem encouraged the graduates to obey God, be humble,
and trust in Him, regardless of the path they choose—whether in ministry,
further studies, or other fields.

- Diplomas were presented by L Hopichum, academic dean, and
conferred by Dr. C. Chemtingla Sangtam, principal of OTC. Awards were also
presented by the academic dean. The Act of Dedication was led by Rev. Y.
Imtiba, executive secretary of USBLA, who also dedicated the second floor of
the OTC girls’ hostel on the occasion.
