DIMAPUR — The Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) and Kudawhi Union Dimapur (KUD) have expressed sadness over the demise of Kekhriengulie Linyü, former president of the Angami Public Organisation, who passed away on Saturday.

In a condolence message, the CPO stated that Linyü was “a man of exceptional character and wisdom who dedicated his life to the service of our people,” and also represented the Chakhroma community with great dignity. “He also served the state with dedication and retired as the Additional Director (HoD) of the Department of Land Records and Survey (1995-2003). His passing is an irreparable loss to our community and the organisations he faithfully served. He will be remembered for his exemplary leadership and the strong foundations he built during his years of service which will continue to guide us,” the message read.

The Kudawhi Union Dimapur, in its condolence message stated that Kekhriengulie Linyii was also a former president of the KUD.

“Late Kekhriengulie Linyii was a dedicated, upright, and principled bureaucrat who served the government and the people with integrity and distinction. His commitment to ethical administration, discipline, and selfless service earned him deep respect across communities. As a community leader, he rendered exemplary service and provided wise guidance, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire future generations,” the message read.
