One unidentified body found in Dimapur

  • DIMAPUR —  An unidentified body of a non-Naga male was discovered near the Northeast Travels counter on Golaghat Road on the morning of May 25.

  • According to an update from Dimapur Police, telephonic information was received from the Control Room, Dimapur, stating that the public reported one unidentified non-Naga male lying dead near the counter.

  • Accordingly, the personnel on duty at East Police Station rushed to the scene and found the dead body, aged around 25–30 years. Upon thorough inspection, there were no injury marks, only a tattoo on the right hand bearing the initials D.P.

  • On completion of all legal formalities, the body was taken to the District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.

  • The deceased was wearing a white checked shirt, black jeans, cream-coloured shorts, a black belt, and black sneakers. A black fanny pack was found near the body.

  • Claimants, relatives, or friends of the deceased are requested to contact the officer-in-charge at East Police Station, Dimapur (mobile number 7085055020).
