The 12th Inter Departmental Tournament organised by Officers' Club Mon begins at Neilkeak Futsal in Tammong.

DIMAPUR — The Officers’ Club Mon (OCM) organised the 12th Inter Departmental Tournament at Officers’ Club Mon and Neilkeak Futsal, Tammong, on Thursday.
According to a DIPR report, Wennyei Konyak, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Mon, attended the opening ceremony as the special guest. The tournament will conclude on March 21.

Addressing the gathering, the DC stated that the tournament is not about winning, but it is about connecting. He noted that events like this help strengthen bonds in friendship and give an opportunity to interact and know each other better.
He also said that sports and recreation play a vital role in professional and personal lives.
In the daily routine of official duties and public service responsibilities, individuals often forget the importance of relaxation and mental refreshment, he added and encouraged the young officials to actively involve themselves in the club’s activities and make use of the facilities provided by the club.
Later, he declared the tournament open.
The administration of the oath to the players was led by Pakon Phom, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Mon.
