DIMAPUR — The Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) distributed prizes to the winners of the National Youth Reel and Short Film Competition titled "Frames of Justice" at its office premises in Kohima on Tuesday.
The state-level competition was organised by the NSLSA under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) on the occasion of National Women’s Day 2026 and the birth anniversary of Sarojini Naidu, stated a DIPR report.
Addressing the law students, Neiko Akami, Member Secretary of NSLSA, underscored the importance of continuous learning in the legal profession. He stated that law is a dynamic field, constantly evolving with new developments, and asked students to cultivate the habit of regularly updating their knowledge and sharpening their skills, especially in the digital age.

Such a commitment to lifelong learning, he noted, not only enhances their academic understanding but also equips them to meet the practical challenges of future legal practice with confidence and competence.
Urging them to act as ambassadors of legal services, he called upon them to actively spread awareness about legal rights and entitlements, particularly among marginalised and underprivileged sections of society.
The short film titled 'The Unheard Silence', on the theme of the NALSA Standard Operating Procedure towards Eliminating Child Marriage 2025, won the first prize. It was compiled by Atsali Sangtam, Medosanuo Sokrano, Tiarenba Longkumer, Jinenle Wanth, Lanukaba Jamir, Medono Kipu, Nzanbeni E Kikon, and Shelly P Achumi.
