NSF trophy: Chedema Village YO upsets reigning champion Sechü Zubza FC

KOHIMA — Reigning champion Sechü Zubza FC suffered a narrow 1-2 defeat against Chedema Village Youth Organisation in the semi-final of the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy on Wednesday at IG Stadium, Kohima.

Sechü Zubza FC opened the scoring in the 10th minute through Lalminglu Vankal, but Benjamin equalised in the 90+2 minute, forcing extra time. In additional time, T Zemik scored the decisive goal in the 100+9’ minute, sending Chedema Village YO into the final scheduled for October 18.

T Zemik was named Player of the Match by match patron Wangpang Konyak, Advisor of Social Welfare.
