DIMAPUR — Citing the ongoing political crisis in Nepal, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has urged Nagaland government to take urgent steps to facilitate the return of Naga students and youths stranded in the country.
In a memorandum addressed to the chief secretary, the federation expressed concern over the plight of several students and young professionals who had travelled to Nepal for academic and career opportunities but are now facing “grave uncertainty and distress.”

The NSF appealed to the state government to coordinate with the Ministry of External Affairs and other relevant agencies to provide necessary travel support, documentation, and transit assistance to ensure their safe passage back to Nagaland.
It also requested that suitable arrangements be made for the returnees upon arrival, including logistical support and immediate relief where required.
Such timely intervention will bring immense relief to the stranded individuals as well as their anxious families back home, the NSF stated.
