- DIMAPUR — The
Yung Aung-led NSCN/GPRN has expressed grief at the loss of its two cadres to
what it described as “well coordinated ambush” by the Indian occupational
forces on April 27 at Pongchau under Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh.
- A press release issued by NSCN/GPRN through its MIP stated
that the surprised attack, which resulted in the death of Corporal Teya,
Private Petoh and a civilian (road contractor) and injuries to three other
cadres, was by all standard a cold-blooded murder perpetrated by the combined
forces of Indian army and Assam Rifles.
- It has termed the press release issued by the PRO of the
Indian army as one-sided and fabricated report. It alleged that in order to
glorify themselves and justify their side of story, the Indian security forces
crossed all human decency by cladding the dead civilian with Naga army fatigue
and placing additional heavy weapons and explosives on the three mutilated
bodies.

our fearless Naga soldiers did not surrender and they died a true heroes. They
are brave beyond words,” the statement read.
