DIMAPUR — The Nagaland state unit of the National People's Party (NPP) held an emergency meeting on August 6 at the state party office in Dimapur to restructure and revitalise its organisational activities across the state.

The meeting was led by A Nyamnyei Konyak, state president, and attended by state officials, along with representatives from the youth and minority wings.

According to a press release from the party, several important decisions were made to streamline organisational functioning, enhance communication, and expand the party’s outreach and discipline mechanisms across the state.

A state media cell was constituted to oversee the dissemination of official information, coordinate media outreach, and effectively project the party’s initiatives to the public. The members of the media cell are Ranjit Singhvi as convenor, James Vizo as member secretary, and Yarmen and Lima Longchar as members.

An ad hoc disciplinary committee was formed to uphold party discipline, address internal concerns, and guide members in accordance with party ethics. This committee will function temporarily until a permanent panel is appointed.

The members of the disciplinary committee are Rokosalie as convenor, Nukshi Jamir as member secretary, Ranjit Singhvi as member, and A Nyamnyei Konyak as ex-officio member.
