The Nagaland Pradesh Mahila Congress joined the nationwide 'Chalo Sansad' march in New Delhi, demanding the immediate implementation of the 33% women's reservation law.
DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Pradesh Mahila Congress (NPMC) participated in the nationwide "Chalo Sansad" march held in New Delhi on July 21 under the leadership of All India Mahila Congress president Alka Lamba.
In a press release, the NPMC said the march demanded the immediate implementation of the 33% women's reservation, asserting that equal representation of women in legislatures is a constitutional right and a crucial step towards strengthening India's democracy.
