The NPF Zunheboto division holds a consultative meeting in Aghunato town to strengthen the grassroots level.

DIMAPUR — Kicking off the Zunheboto division constituencies tour programme, the Naga People’s Front (NPF), Zunheboto division, held a consultative meeting at GBS Hall in Aghunato town on Monday.
The main objective of the tour programme was to focus on the importance of strengthening the grassroots level, stated a press release.
Kuhoi Zhimo, General Secretary of the Central Office Bearers (COB) of the NPF, addressed the gathering and stressed the importance of strengthening the party. He stated that the NPF is one of the oldest regional parties and that a merger between the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) and the NPF is necessary for its strengthening.
He added that party officials envision expanding the NPF further and eventually elevating it to a national party. He also stressed the importance of unity across all sections, stating that such unity would lead to greater recognition and regard for the Nagas by the Government of India.

Khehoshe Yepthomi, President of the NPF Zunheboto division, highlighting the importance of conducting the upcoming population census in a proper manner, stated that the population of Zunheboto district in 2011 had declined compared to the 2001 census and therefore urged party officials to cooperate and coordinate with the administration and enumerators to ensure that the population census is carried out properly.
Vikaho Zhimomi, Vice President of the NPF Zunheboto division, urged the party workers of the 34 Aghunato Assembly Constituency (A/C) to remain sincere and faithful to the party. He called upon the gathering to stay united, support their constituency representative, and work with him hand in hand.
Kakheho Yepthomi, Secretary of COB NPF, highlighted important schemes available and urged everyone to consult with one another and make full use of these schemes.
