Bhandari SDPB reviews power outage issues and monsoon preparedness, sets deadline for VCM selection process.

DIMAPUR — The monthly meeting of the Bhandari Sub-Divisional Planning Board (SDPB) was held on March 20 at the Summer House-cum-Guest House, Bhandari, under the chairmanship of vice chairmen of SDPB Bhandari and ADC Longasen Lotha.
In his address, the ADC appreciated the members for their consistent attendance at the SDPDB meeting and urged them to be more sincere, dedicated, and diligent in their assigned duties, a DIPR report stated.
Lotha informed that the public of the sub-division are facing difficulties due to outrage of power supply and urged the Power department to make every effort to restore the power supply at the earliest.
He also informed the members to be well prepare for the approaching monsoon season and further suggested that a pre monsoon exercise be conducted in coordination with the concerned departments.

The DC further highlighted the notification issued by the deputy commissioner, Wokha, for selection/election of village council members (VCMs) for the tenure 2026-2031.
Lotha said the entire process of selection/election of VCMs under Bhandari sub-division should be completed by April 20, 2026, and submitted to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha.
