DIMAPUR — The Naga People’s Front (NPF), Zunheboto division, organised a pre-Christmas celebration programme at Ayigha hall, Zunheboto NPF office, on December 20, bringing together party leaders, members, and well-wishers in a spirit of fellowship and festive joy.
Khehoshe Yepthomi, president NPF Zunheboto division extended warm Christmas greetings to party workers and town council councillors under Zunheboto district, conveying a message of hope, peace, and unity, an update stated.
In his Christmas message, Yepthomi reminded that the celebration of Christmas marks the birth of Jesus Christ, which brought hope, peace, and salvation to humanity.

He said the season calls upon people to reflect on love, humility, and service to one another, while strengthening bonds of togetherness within communities.
Highlighting the spirit of reconciliation, he described Christmas as a time to forgive, unite, and renew commitment towards peace and harmony.
The NPF Zunheboto division president also expressed gratitude for the successful celebration of Advent Christmas made possible through the generous contributions of the five legislators under the leadership of G Kaito Aye, Minister for Roads & Bridges and district in-charge, as well as the NPF Zunheboto division.
Yepthomi acknowledged that their collective support helped spread joy and goodwill during the festive season. He concluded by wishing peace, happiness, and renewed strength to all, encouraging continued cooperation for the welfare and good of the people.
Herato Sukhalu, chairman of the Zunheboto Town Council (ZTC), while delivering his greetings, lauded the NPF Zunheboto division for being a constant supporter and urged the party to continue extending the same support in the years to come.
The programme was chaired by Meritoli H Zhimo, vice president of the Women Wing, while Inavito Chishi, general secretary of NPF Zunheboto, served as the recorder.
The event began with an invocation prayer by Ahoto Tuccu, working president of the party’s farmers’ wing, followed by the opening Christmas hymn, ‘Joy to the world.’
Scripture reading was presented by Lino Yeptho; ceremonial cake cutting was conducted by Bovitolii Yeptho, secretary of Women Wing; and a rendition of ‘Holy night’ by Ghokivi Awomi was one of the highlights of the programme.
The event concluded with a benediction pronounced by Marina Assumi, secretary of NPF Zunheboto.
This was followed by a grand luncheon and a musical extravaganza featuring Ghokivi Awomi, winner of the Sumi Love Song Competition (3rd edition). The event also included a lucky draw, adding excitement to the occasion.
“The celebration reflected the spirit of unity, gratitude, and joy as members came together to mark the Christmas season,” the update stated.
