NPF central women wing adopts 6-point resolution during consultative meeting in Kohima

DIMAPUR — The NPF central women wing has adopted 6-point resolution during its consultative meeting held at the party’s headquarters in Kohima on Wednesday.
An update from the central women wing stated that it has resolved to convey appreciation to the chief minister and party president, Dr. Neiphiu Rio, for providing ample space for women in leadership with regard to the successful implementation of 33% reservation for women in ULB elections, resulting in hundreds of women councilors in towns and municipal councils across the State.
The house resolved to convey its appreciation to the NPF top party leadership led by the chief minister, Dr. Neiphiu Rio, and the working president, Abu Metha, under whose interventions, the political crisis within the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) was amicably resolved, thereby ensuring unity and party stability.

The central women wing also congratulated the party president, Dr. Neiphiu Rio; secretary general, Achumbemo Kikon; and all party leaders for the official recognition on the merger of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) with the Naga People's Front (NPF) by the Election Commission of India via an order issued on May 4, 2026.
The house resolved to help, train and uplift young women by launching a district wide campaign on the theme "Her Vote, Her Voice" by enrolling young women voters from September to November 2026.
It also resolved to promote women in leadership role by conducting workshops and seminars on regular interval.
It further resolved to strengthen and uphold the principles of the NPF party in letter and spirit and work together as one closely knitted entity to foster peace and unity at all times to come.
The women leaders also held a threadbare discussion with special focus on the proposed tour programme to be held in the month of July 2026. The meeting also witnessed deliberation on the functioning system within the central women wing and decided to work cohesively for healthy growth and progress of the party.
