Naga People’s Front leaders engage grassroots workers to strengthen party across Niuland and Mon districts.

DIMAPUR — Senior NPF vice president and COB in- charge Charlie Sekhose stated that the “hallmark’ of the NPF Central Office Bearers ( COB) tour is to connect with the grassroots people, understand the grievances of the party workers, and to find ways and means on how best to strengthen the party at all levels.
The NPF vice president was addressing a party meeting held at Niuland town hall on the March 26, the NPF stated in an update.
Sekhose was accompanied by hosts of central office bearers, including NPF central women wing, central youth wing, farmer's wing, minority wing and division office bearers during the tour.
The meeting witnessed an intensive and productive discussion session wherein grievances faced by the grass root workers were placed before the leaders present, with an appeal for due consideration and necessary action thereof, for future references.
The discussion session was facilitated by vice president Pushika Awomi who underscored the importance of upholding the core values of regionalism in letter and spirit.

Awomi called upon the party workers to do away with all senses of negativism but come together as one strong entity under the banner of NPF and start working cohesively with the spirit of oneness for positive growth and progress of the NPF Party.
Kikrukhrietuo Yhoshu delivered the welcome address while vice president Keviyani Thepe gave the introductory remarks on behalf of the NPF central team.
Short speeches were delivered by president of NPF Chumoukedima division Neikhriehu Kense, working president of NPF central women wing Vikali A Zhimomi, minority wing president Bishnu Bhattacharjee, and members from the farmers’ wing and youth wing.
The programme was chaired by working president of 4 Ghaspani-1 AC, Kikheto Sumi.
Mon: The assembly constituencies’ tour of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) in Mon district, held from March 23 to the 25th, concluded with active participation and response from party workers and the public across all nine assembly constituencies of Mon district.
In a statement, the party stated that the tour commenced at 42 AC Wakching on March 23.
During the course of the tour, the central team along with COBs from Mon district and Mon divisional officials visited 43 AC Tapi, 46 AC Mon Town and 47 AC Aboi on March 24, where interaction and meetings with party functionaries and grassroots workers were conducted.
The NPF central team included Apong Ponger, former NPF president and advisor to chief minister; H Chuba, former minister and working president; Bendang Jamir, sr. vice president; and TL Merry, vice president.
The remaining constituencies — 41 AC Tizit, 44 AC Phomching, 45 AC Tehok, 48 AC Moka and 55 AC Tobu — were visited by COBs from Mon division and divisional officials, including women wing, youth wing and farmer wing, led by H Shamlau Konyak, COB in-charge for Mon division; Akang, asst. in-charge; Tongang, asst. in-charge; S Chingyem Konyak, president, Mon division; and all DOB AC in-charges, ensuring all nine constituencies were reached during the tour.
The primary objective of the tour was to emphasise unity, discipline and strengthening of the party organisation at all levels.
The programme focused on reviewing organisational structures, enhancing coordination and preparing for future political engagements.
The tour witnessed participation from party officials, frontal organisations and supporters.
Mokokchung: The NPF Mokokchung division undertook a two-day tour programme spanning from 21 Tuli AC to 30 Alongtaki AC on March 26 and the 27th.
According to an update, the tour was led by central office bearers under the stewardship of senior vice president and in-charge of Mokokchung division, N Bendang Jamir, along with Mokokchung division president Repameren Yaden.
During the tour, interactions across the constituencies were marked by constructive dialogue and thoughtful deliberations, reflecting a shared vision for progress.
Party leaders and workers demonstrated strong commitment, highlighting unity and coordinated efforts within the organisation.
The programme probed to be an important platform to reconnect with grassroots members, realign priorities, and reinforce the party’s guiding principles.
It was further stated that the tour went beyond a routine engagement, reaffirming the party’s commitment to inclusive growth, responsive leadership, and sustained outreach.
