DIMAPUR — A 33-member National Service Scheme (NSS) contingent representing Nagaland secured the first position in the folk dance competition at the Northeast NSS Festival, held at Arunodaya University in Arunachal Pradesh.
The five-day festival, which took place from June 24 to the 28th, saw participation from NSS volunteers representing all northeastern states, stated an update.
The Nagaland contingent comprised 32 NSS volunteers and one Programme Officer, Sentikala, from MGM College, Dimapur. The team showcased the cultural heritage and traditions of Nagaland in the competition.
Additionally, the volunteers demonstrated their intellectual and communication skills by participating in the quiz competition, PowerPoint presentation, and extempore speech events.
The principal, faculty members, and the MGM College fraternity congratulated the volunteers and Sentikala for representing the state.
