DIMAPUR — The faculty of Nursing department at North East Christian University (NECU), Dimapur, organised a one-day workshop titled “The resilient nurse: Transforming nursing culture through professional well-being and strategic change” on June 11.
The event, which drew a total of 58 delegates, focused on equipping healthcare professionals with tools to manage workplace stress, foster resilience, and drive positive cultural shifts within the nursing sector, stated an update.
The workshop featured prominent healthcare and psychology experts, including Dr. Rachel Ao, Principal In-charge of the College of Nursing at District Hospital Dimapur; Mezavino Hibo, Nursing Superintendent at Zion Hospital, Dimapur; Dr. Alino H Assumi, Programme Coordinator of Psychology at NECU; and Lalthanzami, Deputy Managing Director (Nursing) at Health School Nursing, Sinrijan.
The speakers addressed critical, everyday challenges in the profession, including secondary stress, burnout, practical exercises on mindfulness, peer support, and professional rejuvenation.
