NNagaDAO held its general body meeting in Dimapur to discuss HIV cases, drug issues and network strengthening in Nagaland.

DIMAPUR — The Network of Nagaland Drugs and AIDS Organisation (NNagaDAO) held its general body meeting at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur, on May 15 to strengthen the network and address issues related to drugs and HIV in the state.
According to an update, the meeting was presided over by Abou Mere, president of NNagaDAO, who highlighted key areas concerning the network and the present scenario where changes have taken place and require attention.
During the meeting, members expressed their views on the importance of the network and the need to uphold and strengthen it.

Agendas deliberated during the meeting included NGO renewal procedures, inclusiveness of constituent partner NGOs and district outreach, advocacy, legal compliance, the increase in HIV cases, Legislator Forum on AIDS (LFA), Committee of Concern (CoC), and the Nagaland State Substance Use Prevention and Treatment Policy 2016.
The general body also installed a new team of board members headed by Ketho Angami as president.
Based on the discussions, the house resolved to remain committed to restrengthening the network while continuing to address matters pertaining to drugs and HIV in the state.
