DIMAPUR — A special session of the Niuland District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) was held on Wednesday in the conference hall of the DC Niuland, under the chairmanship of Jacob Zhimomi, minister of the Public Health Engineering Department and Co-operation and chairman, DPDB Niuland.
According to a DIPR report, the meeting was attended by DPDB members as well as special invitees representing Western Sumi Hoho, Western Kukami Hoho, Yimkhiung Ariakhao Niuland, Niuland District GB Association, Niuland Area GBs Association, Aghunaqa Area Kukami Kuqhakulu, Khaghaboto Area GBs Association, Chairperson and Councillors of Niuland Town Council.
During the meeting the house agreed to forward the proposals for registration of Mughaki Welfare Society, Akikili Community Development Project, New Life Welfare Society, and Aqu Community Development Foundation.

The minister directed the district administration to conduct seminars for the general public in which departments would sensitise and disseminate information on various flagship schemes being implemented by the respective departments.
Further, the house discussed the ongoing Inner Line Permit (ILP) implementation issues as well as the new guidelines for the ILP register to be maintained by all villages. The minister stressed the collective responsibility of all stakeholders with regard to ILP and reminded all that genuine Indian citizens should not be harassed in the process.
