Niuland district bids farewell to outgoing DC Sara S Jamir and welcomes TL Kiusumong Tikhir.

DIMAPUR — The Niuland district administration and civil society organisations bid farewell to the outgoing deputy commissioner and other officers while welcoming the incoming officers at the DC’s conference hall, Niuland, on April 9.
According to a DIPR report, outgoing DC, Sara S Jamir, who served as deputy commissioner, Niuland for three years and 10 months, in her farewell speech highlighted various achievements, challenges and ongoing projects in the district.
Acknowledging the role of civil societies in administering the district, Jamir said the support and cooperation from the civil societies during her tenure was extraordinary and urged them to continue extending the same support to the incoming DC and his team.

M Khenpa, EAC (Aghunaqa), and Kelengunuo Solo, EAC (Nihokhu), also spoke on behalf of the outgoing officers.
DC Chümoukedima Poland John acknowledged the contribution of the outgoing DC and noted that unlike other districts in the state, Niuland, Chümoukedima and Dimapur have a unique relationship where all three districts work in close coordination.
Incoming DC of Niuland TL Kiusumong Tikhir, in his speech, stated that he is looking forward to working with the citizens of the district and said that no district administration, police or departments can successfully discharge their duties without the support of the citizens and churches. He expressed hope of receiving the same support from the public as his predecessor.
Earlier, ADC Niuland S Athsangla gave a speech on behalf of the officers and T Lucas, HA, delivered a farewell speech on behalf of the administrative staff of Niuland.
Short speeches were also delivered by Vikato Achumi, president of Western Sumi Hoho (WSH); Isawoto Zhimomi, president, Niuland District GBs Association; officials from Yimkhiung Arihako Niuland and Niuland Town Sumi Totimi Loka.
Dr. Amenla, district fisheries officer, and Manish Bharatiya, DCP Niuland, also spoke on the occasion.
