Ongoing construction activities on the Peren-Dimapur section of NH 129A.
DIMAPUR — The National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL) has provided an update on the ongoing construction of National Highway 129A connecting Dimapur with Peren.
In a post on its X account on Saturday, NHIDCL stated that work on the Peren-Dimapur section is progressing actively. The project focuses on constructing a 2-lane road with hard shoulders on NH-129A, specifically from Km 163 to Km 173 (a length of 10 km) under package-4.
According to project details, the "Construction of 2 laning with hard shoulder of Peren-Dimapur section on NH-129A from Design Km 163.592 to Km 173.850 (length-10.258 km) (Pkg-4) under NH (0)-Tribal Sub Plan (TSP)" is being undertaken by Vertex Construction.
The original completion date is slated for February 23, 2026, and the project is currently on track to meet this deadline. The project was awarded on January 1, 2024, and officially commenced on February 24, 2024.
The total project cost is INR 116.54 crore, with the project currently at 48.56% financial progress and 49.6% physical progress.

NHIDCL also highlighted that under package 2, "Balance work for 2-lane with hard shoulder of Peren-Dimapur section on NH-129A from Design Km 126.775 to Km 146.208 (length 19.433 km)" at a cost of INR 258.52 crore is expected to be completed by September 9 this year.
This project is being carried out by AM Infrastructure Projects Pvt. Ltd. and RN Infra Projects Ltd. (JV) and currently stands at 55.95% physical progress and 46.46% financial progress.
Under package 3, "Construction of 2 laning with hard shoulder of Peren-Dimapur section on NH 129A from Design Km 146.208 to Km 163.592 (length- 17.384 km)" at a cost of INR 199.02 crore, is expected to be completed by June 6 this year.
This project, also contracted to AM Infrastructure Projects Pvt. Ltd.-RN Infra Projects Ltd. (JV), has achieved 61.13% physical progress and 54.85% financial progress.
Under Package 1A, "Construction of 2 laning with paved/hard shoulder of Peren-Dimapur road section on NH-129A from design km 120.320 to design km 123.200 (design length: 2.88 km in Peren town)" at a cost of INR 106.32 crore, was awarded on March 28 to Affluent Enterprises & Services but is not yet appointed.
NHIDCL also provided an update on the "Construction of 2-lane with hard shoulder of Kohima-Jessami road on NH-29 (old NH-150) from existing Km 30.474 to existing Km 53.220" (design length 21.90 km) awarded to Ratna Infrastructure Projects Pvt. Ltd.
The project, valued at INR 355.79 crore, is scheduled for completion by January 4, 2026, and has reached 10.69% physical progress and 7.4% financial progress.
