NHIDCL updates ongoing projects in Meluri district

The ongoing widening to 2 lanes with a hard shoulder from Km 69 to Km 106 of the Akhegwo-Avangkhu section on NH-202.
DIMAPUR — The National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL) has updated its ongoing projects ‘Sculpting smooth roads for driving dreams’ for NH-202 (Akhegwo-Jessami section) and NH-202K (Akhegwo-Avangkhu section) in Meluri district.
As per the NHIDCL, the “Widening to 2-Lane with hard shoulder of Akhegwo-Avangkhu section of NH-202K for Package-I (Design Chainage 0+000 Km to 34+795 Km) in the State of Nagaland on EPC mode under NH-NE” is under construction and scheduled to be completed on February 23, 2026. The total length of the project is 34.7955 km.
The project, handed over to Mayasheel Construction JSP Projects Pvt. Ltd. (JV) at a total cost of INR 430.24 crore, has made 49.95% physical progress and 49.1% financial progress. The project was awarded in March 2023 and appointed on August 24, 2023.

The ongoing widening to 2 lanes with a hard shoulder from Km 69 to Km 106 of the Akhegwo-Avangkhu section on NH-202.
The ongoing “Widening to 2-Lane with hard shoulder of Akhegwo-Avangkhu section of NH-202K for Package-II (Design Chainage 34+795 Km to 69+875 Km)” project is also scheduled to be completed by February 23, 2026.

Awarded to Kantilal Khimjibhi Bhalala Project Pvt. Ltd. (KKB) on February 8, 2023, and appointed on June 24, 2023, at a cost of INR 442.54 crore with 35.08 km as the total length, the project has made physical progress of 20.85% and financial progress of 18.11%.
Another ongoing project on NH-202K, “Widening to 2-Lane with hard shoulder of Akhegwo-Avangkhu section of NH-202K for Package-III (Design Chainage 69+875 Km to 106+816 km)”, has made a physical progress of 59.2%.
The project awarded to New India Contractors & Developers Pvt. Ltd. - Bharat Construction Co. (JV) at a cost of INR 497.18 crore has made financial progress of 58.46%. The project was awarded on Feb. 8, 2023, and appointed on Aug. 26, 2023. With a total length of 36.941 km, the project is scheduled to be completed on Feb. 25, 2026.
The project on NH-202 under package I, “Construction of 2-lane with hard shoulder from Design Chainage Km 283.000 to Km 325.440 (5-legged junction at Old Akhegwo) to (Akash Bridge) of Akhegwo-Jessami section of NH-202 (Package-I) [Nagaland Portion]”, has been completed as per the projected date on Jan. 17, 2025.
The 42.44 km project was awarded to Kantilal Khimjibhi Bhalala Project Pvt. Ltd. (KKB) - YN Dhanani (YND) (JV) at a cost of INR 605.36 crore. Awarded on March 30, 2022, the project was appointed on June 23, 2022.
