NSF convenes emergency meeting
DIMAPUR — The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has convened an emergency presidential council meeting in view of the expiry of its ultimatum served to the government of Nagaland over regularisation of medical officers and other health workers appointed during the COVID-19 pandemic. In a press release, the student body requested all its federating units and subordinate bodies to attend the meeting at 12 noon on February 7 at NSF Oking. It said the house would discuss the regularisation issue and decide further course of action.
PAC chairman convenes meeting
DIMAPUR — Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (MLA) and chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Mhathung Yanthan, has convened an oral evidence-cum-adoption meeting of the Committee on February 12 at C Chongsen Chang Room at the Nagaland Legislative Assembly. It informed that the Committee will take oral evidence on the audit para(s) on the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India on the state finance audit report for the year 2022-2023. All the Committee members, AHOD and HOD of the concerned departments have been asked to be present on the specified date to tender evidence before the Committee.
KMC notifies traders
DIMAPUR — Having learned that some business establishments/ institutions have not renewed their trade license for the last two to three years within its jurisdiction, the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has directed all the concerned to renew the same on or before March 31. The chief executive officer of KMC, Zapuno Sophie, informed that failure to comply with the order would lead to cancellation of trade license.
PVHSS bids farewell to outgoing students
DIMAPUR — Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, on Wednesday bade farewell to the outgoing students of Class 12 (Science, Commerce and Arts) during a programme held at jubilee auditorium. An update from the school informed that the event celebrated their achievements and shared memories. The welcome and keynote address was delivered by Monoj Bhattacharjee, principal of the school, who encouraged the students to chase their dreams. The outgoing students were felicitated with mementos, followed by distribution of admit cards for the HSLC and HSSLC examinations 2026. AG informs GPF subscribers
DIMAPUR — The office of Accountant General (A&E) has informed all the GPF subscribers that its online GPF information system has been made operational. It stated that GPF subscribers can access the portal by visiting https://nlagpf.gov.in. They can proceed to the subscriber login using the confidential PIN sent to their registered mobile numbers.
Birth and death certificate digitisation drive
DIMAPUR — Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, B Henok Buchem, has informed that a special drive for the online registration and digitisation of old manual birth and death certificates will be conducted across Kohima district from February 5 to the 20th. For this, citizens have been asked to visit the District Economics and Statistics Office, Kohima, or their respective Registration Units within the stipulated period for digitisation of their records.
