DIMAPUR — A three-day Training and Capacity Building Programme for Bio-input Resource Centre (BRC) Entrepreneurs is currently underway in Kohima.
Organised by the Regional Centre for Organic and Natural Farming (RCONF), Imphal, in coordination with the Department of Agriculture, Nagaland, the training programme aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial capacities of BRC entrepreneurs, with emphasis on natural farming practices, value addition, and sustainable agri-based enterprises, informed an update received on Wednesday.
The event, which began on Tuesday with Rosemary Ezung, Joint Director of Agriculture, chairing the inaugural session, will conclude on Thursday (Feb. 5).

Ezung highlighted the importance of empowering grassroots institutions to enhance sustainable agriculture and farmers’ incomes in her welcome address, while Dr. V. Y. Deoghare, Regional Director (I/c), RCONF, Government of India, Imphal, underscored the role of BRCs in strengthening local agri-enterprises and stressed the relevance of natural farming for climate resilience, soil health, and market-led growth in his keynote address.
The training organised under the National Mission on Natural Farming also saw Medovilie Ladu, Addl. Director of Agriculture, Nagaland, delivering a special address. He encouraging the participants to actively engage in the training and apply the learnings in building viable agri-entrepreneurial ventures.
The participants also received a hands-on training on various aspects of natural farming during a field visit to New Terogunyu village, Tseminyu district.
