Registration of school drop-out orphan children on DoSE portal
DIMAPUR — The Department of School Education has appealed to members of NGOs, municipal/town/village councils, churches, student unions and the general public to help identify orphan children aged 3-14 who are not enrolled in school or have dropped out. According to a DIPR report, the department urged people to register these children's details on the department's online portal https://dosenl.in by September 30, 2025. This will help the department create a plan to provide special training and get these kids back into school. The goal is to mainstream these children into neighbourhood schools, ensuring they receive the education they deserve. Those finding difficulties in registering the details at the portal may avail assistance of officials from the nearest govt. schools/DEO/Sr. SDEO/SDEO offices. Further, all DEOs/Sr. SDEOs/SDEOs /heads of govt. schools have been requested to help people in registering the aforesaid details at the portal within the given time limits.
Wokha meeting disusses AI Chatbot system
DIMAPUR — The Wokha district administration convened a coordination meeting at the DC’s conference hall on September 11 to discuss the integration of departmental schemes and services into the upcoming AI-powered Virtual Assistant (Chatbot) system. The initiative aims to promote e-Governance and provide citizens with seamless access to government schemes and services through digital platforms, a DIPR report stated. The meeting brought together representatives from various key departments and officials deliberated on the inclusion of department-specific services and mandates to ensure comprehensive coverage and citizen-friendly access.

NGA lends assistance for Nagas in Nepal
DIMAPUR — In view of the prevailing situation in Nepal, the Nagaland Gorkha Association (NGA) has provided contact numbers for any Naga individuals or students facing difficulty in Kathmandu. It stated that the officials are a group of young Gorkhas from Nagaland in Kathmandu, who are grouped together as "Friends of Nagaland." NCSCDA to hold job fair in Dimapur
DIMAPUR — The National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled (NCSCDA), Dimapur, under the Ministry of Labour and Employment (DGE), Government of India, in collaboration with the ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA), Don Bosco, and Employment Exchange, Dimapur, will organise a job fair on September 15 from 10 am to 1 pm at Assistant Labour Commissioner Building, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur. The event aims to provide a platform for job seekers especially unemployed youth including persons with disabilities to connect with prospective employers.
EDTC guidelines for hosting public events
DIMAPUR — East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) has notified that no individual, group or organisation would be allowed to organise any season festivals, events, carnival or similar activities without obtaining prior permission from its office. Informing that strict action would be initiated against violation of its directive, the council requested all concerned to cooperate in maintaining order and discipline within its jurisdiction. It further informed that no other department, body or authority has been authorised to grant permission for such event within its jurisdiction.
DMC re-launches official website
DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has informed the re-launch of its official website dmc.nagaland.gov.in with an objective to providing improved access to essential municipal services. It stated that applicants could conveniently apply for new trade licenses as well as renew existing licenses online. The portal has been equipped with secure online transaction facilities to ensure safe and reliable digital payments. It has requested the citizens and business establishment to make full use of those services for greater ease, transparency and efficiency. Orientation on AKA in Chümoukedima
DIMAPUR — Deputy Commissioner of Chümoukedima, Polan John, has informed all the line departments that, in view of the ongoing ‘Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan’ (AKA) campaign, a district level orientation programme of all the concerned line departments, CSOs, area administrative officers led by the District Master Trainers (DMTs) will be held on September 15 at 1 pm at the DC’s conference hall. All head offices along with adequate representation of officials from each department are requested to attend the orientation, an official bulletin stated.
Meluri DPDB meeting held
DIMAPUR — The monthly DPDB meeting of Meluri district was held on September 11 at the DB's Court, Meluri, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner K Mhathung Tsanglao. After reviewing the previous meeting minutes, the board deliberated on agendas, including proposal for creation and establishment of Statistical office and District Youth Resources & Sports office in Meluri, a DIPR report stated. The proposals were recommended to the respective department for approval. Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, Wetsote Kapfo, gave a PowerPoint presentation on the departmental activities and schemes implemented under Meluri district.
