Patton slams ‘racial’ attack in Delhi
DIMAPUR — Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton has condemned the alleged assault on two Northeast residents near the Saket District Court Complex in New Delhi on March 8, terming it another instance of racial discrimination against people from Northeast India. In a statement, Patton said such acts of prejudice and bias are hurtful and go against the values of unity and inclusivity that the country stands for. “It is disheartening to see individuals being judged or mistreated based on their appearance, ethnicity or place of origin. “Let us come together to promote understanding, empathy and respect for all cultures and communities. Every Indian deserves to be treated with dignity, regardless of their background. We must celebrate our diversity and recognise the strength it brings to our nation and promote inclusivity,” he said. Patton urged everyone to stand against racism and promote inclusivity in all aspects of life.
Workshop on IPR in Dimapur
DIMAPUR — A two-day workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) under the National IP Yatra will be organised on March 12 and the 13th at the Integrated Business Hub & Innovation Centre, Forest Colony, Dimapur. The programme is being organised by the IPFC in collaboration with the IDAN under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, a DIPR report stated. The programme is open to start-ups, MSMEs, entrepreneurs, business owners, artisans, creators, artists, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), NGOs, scholars and researchers.
ADC Peren issues travel advisory
DIMAPUR — Additional Deputy Commissioner Peren D Robin has issued a travel advisory stating that the road stretch from Bana colony to Old Jalukie PWD approach road shall remain closed from March 10 to 17 in view of the ongoing excavation work activities in the area. According to a DIPR report, the ADC requested strict compliance by all concern.
