NSBS&G, NFHRCC condole Governor Ganesan’s demise
DIMAPUR — The Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides (NSBS&G) has condoled the demise of Nagaland Governor La. Ganesan, also chief patron of the NSBS&G, who passed away on August 15 in Chennai. In a condolence message, the NSBS&G stated that Ganesan’s unwavering dedication to public service and his steadfast support to the scouting movement in Nagaland will always be remembered with profound respect and gratitude. “As the Chief Patron of the Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides, his encouragement and commitment to the values of discipline and service to the Scouts and Guides movement, will be remembered,” the message read. The Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) also termed Ganesan’s demise as “a profound loss for the people of Nagaland as he was fondly considered as the peoples’ Governor.”

Lions & Leo Club of Dimapur celebrate Janmashtami Mahotsav
DIMAPUR — Lions & Leo Club of Dimapur celebrated the annual Janmashtami Mahotsav at their club premises at Nepali Gaon, Dimapur, under the chairmanship of Lion Sarthak Kala, Leo Ayush Jain and Leo Akash Minda, on August 16. The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp, followed by a fancy dress competition divided into two categories of (0–6 years) and (7–12 years) with a total participation of 117 children, an update stated. The judges Rosy Malik and Rishav Poddar announced three winners from each category along with a special judges’ choice award. Leo president Vishal Pareek informed that for the Matki Phod competition, there were six teams with 30 members each, where Team Bihari Yuva Manch emerged as the winner.
