Home department notifies on PAC meeting
DIMAPUR — The Home Department (Political Branch) has notified that a meeting of the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) along with all the MLAs is being convened on September 1 at 2 pm at the State Banquet Hall, Chief Minister's Residential Complex, Kohima, to review and discuss all major issues relating to the Naga political issue. The Chief Minister, the Deputy Chief Ministers, Speaker and Deputy Speaker will be present in the meeting, a DIPR report stated. All ministers, MP Rajya Sabha, MP Lok Sabha, advisors and MLAs have been requested to attend the meeting.

Minister Kenye calls legislators’ meeting
DIMAPUR — In view of the 7th Session of the Fourteenth Nagaland Legislative Assembly being summoned from September 2 onwards, Minister for Power and Parliamentary Affairs, KG Kenye has called for a meeting of all the 60 legislators on September 1 at 11 am at the State Banquet Hall, Kohima. In another notification, Minister Kenye has called for a meeting of all the NDPP Legislature Party on September 1 at 10 am at the State Banquet Hall, Kohima, a DIPR report stated
DC Phek issues traffic advisory
DIMAPUR — Deputy Commissioner of Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, has informed that due to incessant rainfall, the culvert located at Chainage: 8+200 Km (Kami village) has been severely damaged. In a travel advisory, the DC stated that movement of all Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV) along Pfutsero-Khezhakeno Major District Road (MDR) is restricted with immediate effect. Light Motor Vehicles are exempted from the restriction. “Furthermore, the Executive Engineer, PWD (R&D), Pfutsero Division, is directed to ensure that the culvert is repaired at the earliest,” the advisory stated.
Kohima to host District Youth Festival
DIMAPUR — District Youth Resources Officer, Kohima, Atoli Yeptho, has announced that the District Level Youth Festival 2025 for Kohima and Tseminyu districts will be held on the theme “Viksit Bharat @2047 and the role of the creator economy,” which will feature competitions in folk song, folk dance, and declamation. All interested individuals, clubs, cultural troupes, colleges, and higher secondary schools have been invited to participate, a DIPR report stated. DLCC meeting held in Tuensang
DIMAPUR — Tuensang District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC) for VPRP-GPDP (Village Poverty Reduction Plan- Gram Panchayat Development Plan) was held on Friday at DC’s Conference Hall, Tuensang, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Chairman VPRP-GPDP, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa. According to a DIPR report, the meeting was held with representatives from line departments for integration and convergence of government programmes, initiatives and schemes.
NEP-2020 orientation held in Tseminyu
DIMAPUR — One-day orientation programme on inclusive education based on NEP-2020, organised by SCERT Nagaland, in collaboration with SDEO Tseminyu, was held on Friday at EBRC Hall, Tseminyu. Vice Principal and Health IE & ICT, SCERT Nagaland, Daniel Thong; Medical Surgeon at TB Hospital, Khuzama, Dr. Asunu Thong; Music Therapist at Jo Foundation Kohima, Rukuse Sakhrie; and Lecture DIET Wokha, Aylwin Semp were the resource persons for the programme, a DIPR report stated. Teachers from government schools, Church leaders and differently abled (Handicapped) Union Tseminyu district participated in the programme. The programme was chaired by SDEO Tseminyu, Asao Seb, with a short speech by SDO Tseminyu, Tsidi.
