PwD registration drive in Kohima
DIMAPUR — The deputy commissioner of Kohima has issued a notice informing that the district administration, in collaboration with the Office of the Regional Employment Exchange, Kohima, will conduct a special registration drive for persons with disabilities (PwDs) as job seekers under the Disabilities Research, Empowerment and Accessibility Mission (DREAM), Nagaland. According to the notice, the registration drive will be held at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, on March 28 from 10 am to 2 pm. The eligibility criteria for registration include a minimum qualification of Class 8 (passed) and a minimum age of 14 years. F&ES dept. updates NOC rules
DIMAPUR — The Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services (F&ES), Nagaland, has informed the public regarding the procedures for obtaining and renewing Fire Safety No Objection Certificates (NOC). Individuals applying for fresh NOC are advised to visit their nearest fire station to complete the application form and necessary procedural data entry, a DIPR report stated. For renewal of NOC, applicants/owners have been instructed to submit their applications at least 45 days prior to the expiry date to avoid delays or lapses.
KG Kenye calls CEALPP meeting
DIMAPUR — Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and chairperson of the Committee to Examine the Applicability of Laws Passed by Parliament (CEALPP), KG Kenye, has convened a meeting of the committee on March 18 at 11 am at C Chongshen Committee Room of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) Secretariat. In a press release, the NLA Secretariat requested all members of the committee to attend the meeting positively.

DIMAPUR — Deputy Commissioner Mon, Wennyei Konyak, has informed that the monthly District Planning & Development Board meeting of Mon district for the month of March will be held on March 24 at 11:30 am at the DC’s conference hall. All the concerned members have been informed to take note and attend the meeting without fail, a DIPR report stated.
Noklak to host free basket weaving course for women
DIMAPUR — The Sankalp–District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), Noklak, under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative, will organise a three-day skill development programme on basket weaving from March 23 to 25. The programme, intended exclusively for unemployed women, will be free of cost with a capacity of 15 participants, a DIPR report stated. Registration will be open from March 18 to 21. Preference will be given to women who have not previously attended skill development trainings under BBBP. Interested participants may collect the registration form from Sankalp–DHEW, Noklak. Unclaimed body kept at DHD
DIMAPUR — An unclaimed male body of a deceased patient was reported at District Hospital Dimapur (DHD) on March 15. According to a press release issued by Dimapur Police, a letter was received at East Police Station from the emergency medical officer, DHD, stating that an unclaimed male body of a deceased patient, identified as Vicky, aged around 50 years, had died on March 14 at 4 pm despite the best effort was put upon by the medical team. The patient was reportedly undergoing medical treatment with a provisional diagnosis of LRTI and ALD. Following the information, the duty party rushed to the hospital and on completion of all legal formalities, the deceased body has been kept at District Hospital Dimapur for identification. Claimant, relatives or friends of the deceased have been requested to contact the officer-in-charge, East Police Station Dimapur, at mobile number 7085055020.
