DIMAPUR — As part of its preparation for the upcoming golden jubilee scheduled on January 8, 2026, the Newman Higher Secondary School in Tobu organised a sales day programme on Saturday at the bazaar junction.
An update from the school stated that the collaborative efforts of the school’s management board, staff and students witnessed an overwhelming response from the community. The event showcased a wide variety of fresh organic vegetables, local fruits and handmade crafts, which drew enthusiastic buyers throughout the day.
The lively atmosphere was marked by the spirit of teamwork as students, teachers and families worked shoulder-to-shoulder to make the initiative a grand success.

Meanwhile, the school management has acknowledged the tireless contributions and generosity of parents, staff and students, while it also extended appreciation to the people of Tobu for their steadfast cooperation.
It stated that the sales day event had not only raised valuable funds for the jubilee but also reflected the unity and collective spirit of the Newmanite family as it steps into the golden legacy of academic excellence.
It stated that the school is set to host a prelude to the golden jubilee towards the end of October, exclusively for students from LKG to high school, since the main celebration would fall during holidays in the month of January. The prelude programme would be marked by a festive atmosphere, featuring a wide array of stalls and exciting fun-fair games, ensuring that the students of primary and high school level too experience the joy and grandeur of the jubilee season.
