Mizoram and Manipur secured wins in NECDC Inter State Friendship Cup 2026 U-19 matches held in Nagaland on April 7.

DIMAPUR — Mizoram continued their winning momentum while Manipur registered a dominant victory in the NECDC Inter State Friendship Cup 2026 for U-19 men held at Nagaland Cricket Stadium and Sovima Cricket Ground, respectively, on Thursday.
In the first match, Mizoram defeated Arunachal Pradesh by 6 wickets, successfully chasing down a target of 133 in 24.2 overs.
According to an update, after opting to bat, Arunachal Pradesh scored 132 all out in 38.4 overs, with Nabam Nathan scoring 43 off 80 balls and Nabam Reekam adding 38 off 62 balls.
Mizoram’s bowlers dominated, led by H Lalrinfela, who took 5 wickets for 23 runs in 7.4 overs, supported by VL Chhuankima with 3 wickets for 24 runs.

In reply, Mizoram scored 133 for 4 in 24.2 overs. Johan Lalhriatpuia scored 39 off 41 balls, while Lalramluahpuia Zote remained unbeaten on 28 off 36 balls. For Arunachal Pradesh, Bamang Magum took 2 wickets for 16 runs.
H Lalrinfela of Mizoram was named Player of the Match.
In the second match, Manipur defeated Meghalaya by 144 runs.
Batting first, Manipur scored 222 for 6 in 26 overs. Max Warokpam Meitei scored 76 off 53 balls, while Naeesh added 53 off 45 balls. For Meghalaya, Benedict J Makdoh took 2 wickets for 41 runs.
In response, Meghalaya were all out for 78 in 22.3 overs. Angkit Tamang scored 26 off 47 balls. Manipur’s bowlers Yumnam Chingkhei Nganba and Saikhom Kaiku Meetei took 4 wickets each, conceding 11 and 7 runs, respectively.
