Nature State Bank of India Foundation conducts sanitation drive and medical outreach at Longthonger village, Kiphire, reaching over 1,000 beneficiaries.

DIMAPUR — A sanitation drive and medical outreach programme under SBI Sanjeevani – Clinic on Wheels, supported by the State Bank of India Foundation (SBIF), Nagaland, was conducted at Longthonger village, Kiphire, on Saturday.
According to an update, the village council chairman (VCC), Longthonger, delivered the welcome address and expressed gratitude to Nature SBI Foundation, Kiphire, for the initiative.
He thanked the team for the continuous medical services provided over time and urged them to keep visiting the village in the future, assuring full cooperation from the community.

A short address was delivered by Vewupe Doulo, Branch Manager, State Bank of India (SBI), Kiphire. He acknowledged the continuous efforts of the Nature SBI Foundation in supporting communities across the Kiphire district.
During his address, he informed the gathering that SBI has around 13 crore inoperative accounts and requested people and organisations to check and claim their accounts if any are pending. He also urged the community to continue supporting SBI initiatives.
A session on the importance of sanitation was conducted by the medical officer, Nature SBIF, Nagaland. He spoke on the importance of regular hand washing, proper waste management, segregation of wet and dry waste, biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste, and keeping drainage systems clean.
He encouraged active community participation and urged villagers to properly utilise the sanitation materials provided. The distribution of sanitation materials was carried out by the branch manager, SBI Kiphire.
Following the programme, a sanitation drive was conducted at public places, including the public ground, village council hall, and school premises. After the sanitation drive, a Mobile OPD (MOPD) was conducted in the village to provide medical services to the residents.
Speaking on the occasion, Longtili C Sangtam shared the January progress report. The project lead stated that during the month, the team reached 1,124 beneficiaries, conducted 262 laboratory tests, organised 54 MOPDs, referred 11 patients to the district hospital, and conducted one specialised dental health camp, two awareness camps, and one sanitation drive across the district.
