Chümoukedima region of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party endorses merger with Naga People’s Front.

DIMAPUR — Chümoukedima region of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has unanimously endorsed and fully supported the proposed merger of NDPP with Naga People’s Front (NPF) in Nagaland.
The endorsement was made during a consultative meeting of NDPP Chümoukedima region held at CTC Hall in Chümoukedima town on October 1.
An update from the party stated that the meeting, chaired by its general secretary, Shikato Swu, saw the participation of functionaries from central, regional, assembly constituencies of 4 and 5 Ghaspani and village units.

It stated that several key leaders including Zhaleo Rio, Advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs; Charlie Sekhose, NDPP senior vice president; various leaders and functionaries attended the meeting.
Leaders and speakers deliberated on the significance of merger, whereby the NDPP Chümoukedima region unanimously endorsed and fully supported the decision taken at NDPP CEB meeting on September 12 held at its office in Kohima under the leadership of Chief Minister, Dr. Neiphiu Rio, and party president, Chingwang Konyak.
