DIMAPUR — The National Health Mission Employees Association Nagaland (NEAN) decided to call off its proposed total cessation of work during a general body meeting held in Kohima on Wednesday.
The association had previously announced the agitation in local dailies on November 24.
According to a press release from NEAN President Dr. Thungjamo Ngullie and General Secretary Kewetso Kenye, the house decided to call off the agitation upon receiving a written assurance from the Mission Director, National Health Mission, Kohima, that all pending salaries from September to November 2025 shall be cleared on priority on or before December 18.
However, the house decided that if the assurance is not fulfilled and salaries are not released by December 18, the association will be compelled to go for a total cessation of work until the pending salaries are cleared.
