Dimapur — Four research scholars from Nagaland University participated as online youth delegates in the 13th World Bank Group Youth Summit 2026, held on June 11 and the 12th in Washington, DC, USA.
According to a university update, the summit provided researchers with an opportunity to engage in global discussions on the future of work and explore how emerging ideas could contribute to research and development initiatives in Nagaland.
The four scholars—Swarnanjali Ghosh, Manisha Senapati, Anish Sunwar, and Kezevinuo Nguzhu—from the Department of Rural Development and Planning represented the university at the summit, which was organised on the theme, "Future works: Designing jobs for the digital age."
The summit focused on four key areas of transformation—jobs, education, skills, and entrepreneurship. The scholars secured their participation through a competitive online application process, with their applications shortlisted by the organisers based on their academic qualifications and curriculum vitae.
Bringing together young researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and development practitioners from across the world, the summit explored how technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, and skills development can help create more inclusive and sustainable employment opportunities.
