Nagaland University team inspects Pfutsero Government College to assess readiness for the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme.

DIMAPUR — A Nagaland University inspection team visited Pfutsero Government College on Saturday to assess the college’s readiness for upgradation to offer the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) from the upcoming academic session in line with the New Education Policy, 2020.
According to an update, the team consisted of Pum Khan Pau and Suresh Kurapati, professors at the university.

The inspection team held interactive sessions with the principal, faculty members, and students of the college, along with a ground inspection of the new college campus, infrastructural facilities, faculty strength, and the college’s best practices.
It may be mentioned that Pfutsero Government College is situated in the Phek district. It has an enrolment of 353 students for the academic year 2025-26.
The college currently offers honours courses in seven disciplines: Economics, Education, English, History, Political Science, Sociology, and Tenyidie. It is also in the process of introducing Science honours programmes, with a new building presently under construction at the new campus.
