DIMAPUR — A delegation from the Nagaland Transport department, led by Robert Longchari, Commissioner & Secretary, visited the Ministry of Civil Aviation in New Delhi on July 21, to discuss key infrastructure and connectivity issues related to air transport in the state.
According to a DIPR report, a detailed meeting was held with Asangba Chuba Ao, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, and officials from MoCA, DGCA, and the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
The talks focused on airstrip development, heliport construction, upgrade of Dimapur Airport, and the expansion of helicopter services under the NSOP Plus scheme.

The delegation included Additional Secretary Sentiwapang Aier, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chief Minister Hatpha Wangnoa, OSD Transport M Ababe Ezung, and Deputy General Manager, Nagaland State Transport (NST), Thomas Kiutsangmong.
The meeting involved productive discussions and a shared commitment to improving air connectivity in the state of Nagaland, the report stated.
