  • DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Basketball Association (NBA) is set to participate with its men’s team in the first U23 3x3 National Basketball Championship, which will take place from June 12 to 14 at the Regional Sports Centre, Kochi.

  • An update from the NBA states that the championship, organised by the Kerala Basketball Association under the aegis of the Basketball Federation of India, will feature top young talents from across the country, showcasing the fast-paced and high-energy 3x3 format of basketball.

  • Representing Nagaland in the tournament are Neisezo Theunuo, Sedeneituo Kuotsu, Benhilo Lorin, and Cuwe Mero.

  • It was mentioned that the NBA has been working to develop young basketball talent in the state, and this championship presents an opportunity for these athletes to compete at the national level, gaining exposure and experience against some of the best under-23 players in India.

  • The release noted that the U23 3x3 National Basketball Championship marks a significant milestone in India’s basketball landscape, further promoting the globally recognised 3x3 format, which made its Olympic debut in Tokyo 2020.

  • It added that with its fast pace, shorter game duration, and intense competition, this championship will undoubtedly bring excitement to fans and inspire aspiring basketball players across the country.
