DIMAPUR — Students from Nagaland whose names appear in the second-phase beneficiary list of the Post-Matric Scholarship for ST students but have not received their payment have been advised to ensure that their bank accounts are Aadhaar-linked and enabled for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
The Directorate of Higher Education said the list of beneficiaries whose bank accounts are not DBT-enabled is available on its website.
According to the Directorate, the scheme’s implementing agency processed the second and final one-time payment for 19,381 beneficiaries on Tuesday. This follows the first-phase payment released in June 2025 to 22,412 students.

It clarified that the scheme follows a 90:10 funding pattern between the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and the state government. Stating that the department can initiate payments only after the release of funds from the designated agencies, it said that the state has been consistently releasing its share upon receiving the central contribution.
For the academic year 2024–25, a total of 41,793 beneficiaries have been covered, amounting to INR 5,638.06 lakh, it added.
