Nagaland State Sub-Junior and Masters Badminton Championship to begin on September 30

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Badminton Association (NBA) will host the 2nd phase of Li-Ning 47th Nagaland State Sub-Junior and Masters Badminton Championship from September 30 to October 3. The tournament will be held at K Kire IPS Indoor Stadium, Nagaland Police Complex, and the Multi-Disciplinary Stadium at Sovima, Chumoukedima.

The championship will feature players from all 17 districts of Nagaland, competing across a wide range of age groups—from Under-9 to Masters 65+ veterans—making it one of the most inclusive badminton events in the region.

Competitions will be held in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles across 48 categories.

Sub-Junior: Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, Under-15, and Under-17 (Boys and Girls, Singles and Doubles)

Masters: 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+ (Men and Women, Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles)

The tournament will open with a brief ceremony, while the closing function on 3rd October will be graced by W Chingang Konyak, Advisor for Geology and Mining, Department of Underdeveloped Areas.
